Animal lovers across Australia have plenty of reasons to smile thanks to Bendigo Bank's RSPCA Rescue VISA card, which has helped raise more than $780,000 for the RSPCA and has given more than 60,000 animals a second chance at life.Celebrating its fifth birthday this month, the Rescue VISA is a major source of funding for the RSPCA's national Adoptapet website.
Adoptapet allows prospective pet owners to view animals waiting for adoption at RSPCA locations across the country from the comfort and convenience of their own home, workplace or mobile phone.
Across Australia, RSPCA shelters receive more than 155,000 animals every year so the RSPCA is always looking for new and innovative ways to increase adoptions.
By supporting Adoptapet, Bendigo Bank and its customers are helping the RSPCA find loving owners for thousands of perfect pets in need of a good home.
Each time customers use their RSPCA Rescue VISA Card Bendigo Bank makes payments to the RSPCA based on a percentage of their spend.
Customers can also elect to make a tax-deductible donation of $3 per month to the program and can even opt to donate their rewards points.
To celebrate Adoptapet and the Rescue VISA's five year partnership, Bendigo Bank has released a limited edition card with a stylish new look. The limited edition cards will be available from November 2010 until February 2011 or until sold out.
