For courageous animals that display exceptional resources to save the life of a person.
RSPCA Animal Valour Award
The Animal Valour Award is also for animals that show courage in the face of danger to benefit a human. It was conceived in 1998 to preserve the integrity of the Purple Cross and introduce a 'second rung' national award. It acknowledges the performance of a deed by an animal that displays exceptional courage in the face of danger, thereby greatly benefiting a human or humans.
