About the Role

The Manager, Pet Insurance Partnership is responsible for managing the strategic relationship with our insurance partner across Australia, to support the RSPCA mission. This role drives growth, innovation, and operational excellence in the partnership, and ensures that contractual obligations are met, partnership goals are achieved, and the relationship delivers value to RSPCA in Australia, its stakeholders, and the broader community of pet owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the growth and sustainability of the insurance partnership.
  • Facilitate collaborative marketing execution with RSPCA member Societies, insurance partner and external agencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance partner, and on contractual matters with legal advisors, and internal teams, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that brand and marketing strategies align with RSPCA brand identity, guidelines and values.
  • Oversee the development and integration of the RSPCA Pet Insurance product suite, leveraging internal subject matter experts for continuous improvement.
  • Drive growth initiatives through RSPCA member Societies, retail channels, and digital platforms.
  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of the partnership, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance, against contractual obligations and KPIs, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks proactively
  • Manage internal governance framework and provide regular updates to different stakeholder groups on product performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, finance, legal) to support partnership execution and innovation.
  • Represent the RSPCA Pet Insurance within the federation and in external forums

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, contact law or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing strategic partnerships and contract management, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Marketing leadership in consumer products or financial services, preferably in insurance, retail, or pet-related sectors.
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities within complex structures.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including team development and performance management.
  • Experience in governance and board-level reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Alignment with RSPCA values and mission.
