What we stand for

Our purpose, vision, mission and values

The RSPCA is a community-based charity dedicated to animal care and protection nationwide. Member Societies in each state and territory operate shelters, investigate cruelty, educate on responsible pet ownership, and advocate for better animal welfare policies.

RSPCA Australia, as the national body, provides animal welfare science expertise and works with governments and industries to advance welfare standards. It also runs the RSPCA Approved Farming Scheme, partnering with farmers and brands to improve conditions for millions of farm animals, aiming for a future of higher-welfare farming.
