The state and territory member Societies provide services to animals in need through their shelters and inspectorates. In the national office, RSPCA Australia works to influence animal welfare policy, practice and legislation across the country
Here you'll find the latest news relating to the RSPCA's vital work, press releases on national events, education on animal welfare issues, animal welfare science updates and our very own podcast covering a range of current topics.
In addition to our paid workforce, our volunteers are an integral part of all levels of RSPCA operations - from animal care to gardening to customer service, and everything in between.
Volunteers assist in so many ways including caring for animals in the shelters, assisting with administrative tasks and helping out in our shopfronts. Many more help out with special events, fundraising and promotions that take place throughout the year.
The RSPCA could not function at such a high standard without the vital assistance of our volunteers. If you would like more information about becoming a volunteer please get in touch with your local RSPCA.
