On Thursday 2 October 2025, the RSPCA will host Give to Get Them Home, a one-day-only fundraising appeal where donations will be doubled for 24 hours, helping animals across the country take the final steps toward a safe and loving home.

In the 2024–25 financial year, RSPCA welcomed more than 81,000 animals, while inspectors responded to over 56,000 cruelty complaints.

RSPCA Australia CEO Richard Mussell said the appeal is a chance for Australians to make a meaningful difference.

“Every animal that comes into our care has a story—and every story deserves a hopeful ending,” said Mr Mussell.

“This appeal gives the community a chance to be part of that journey, with donations doubled for one day, your support goes twice as far in helping animals find their way home.”

Getting animals home takes more than just good intentions. It takes thousands of kilograms of nutritious food, expert veterinary care, behavioural support, and the dedication of foster carers, volunteers, and staff.

Funds raised through Give to Get Them Home support RSPCA’s core work: protecting animals from cruelty and neglect, caring for stray and surrendered pets, treating animals through veterinary clinics, and delivering education programs to improve animal welfare.

Alongside many generous matchers, this year’s appeal is proudly supported by our National Matching Partners. Royal Canin, RSPCA’s official nutritional partner, provides high-quality pet food that nourishes animals while they wait for adoption. Bravecto, our National Health Partner, a trusted name in parasite protection, helps ensure animals are healthy and ready for their new homes. And Peter Alexander, beloved designer and animal lover, lends his voice and brand to raise awareness and inspire generosity across the country.

Last year, Give to Get Them Home raised over $3.2 million in just one day. RSPCA hopes to build on that success with the help of a passionate community of animal lovers and generous partners.
