Give to Get Them Home: 24 hours to double the help for animals in need

For one day only, generous sponsors including our National Matching Partners Royal Canin, Peter Alexander and Bravecto will be matching every dollar donated to RSPCA with money raised helping fight animal cruelty and neglect, providing critical veterinary treatment, and the essential care animals need before finding their new loving homes.

The RSPCA’s annual ‘Give to Get Them Home’ fundraiser returns on Thursday 1 October, giving animal lovers the chance to double the impact of each dollar donated to animal welfare.

For one day only, generous sponsors including our National Matching Partners Royal Canin, Peter Alexander and Bravecto will be matching every dollar donated to the RSPCA, with money raised helping fight animal cruelty and neglect, providing critical veterinary treatment, and the essential care animals need before finding their new loving homes.

In 2025, more than 16,200 Australians raised more than $3.65 million through Give to Get Them Home, and the RSPCA hopes to surpass last year’s result with the generous support of corporate sponsors and the Australian community.

RSPCA Australia CEO Richard Mussell said the Australian community’s support was vital to continue providing essential care for animals.

“We’re so grateful to the amazing Aussies who support animals in need,” Mr Mussell said.

“Our member Societies rescue thousands of animals across the nation every year and are confronted with shocking cases of animal cruelty and neglect, all while helping people facing complex mental health challenges.

“Similarly, our amazing veterinary teams provide essential veterinary care to thousands of sick, injured, and neglected animals, some of whom can require care for hundreds of days before they’re ready for adoption.

“The cost of providing this care continues to rise,” Mr Mussell added.

“We simply couldn’t provide the necessary treatment, training, rehabilitation, care and enrichment to these vulnerable animals without the generosity of our supporters.

“Give to Get Them Home is a powerful opportunity for anyone who cares about animals to make an even bigger impact because their donation will go twice as far.

“With your support, we can provide vital care, shelter, and veterinary treatment to the animals in need across Australia and help animals live better lives.”

RSPCA Pet Insurance is also supporting the day with an exclusive offer for Give to Get Them Home donors. Everyone who donates on 1 October will receive a unique link by email afterwards. Donors who use that link to take out a new RSPCA Pet Insurance policy by 16 October will receive their first two months free, and RSPCA Pet Insurance will donate a further $100 to the RSPCA for every eligible policy*.

Brad Smith, CEO of RSPCA Pet Insurance, said: “Give to Get Them Home is about the whole community getting behind animals in need, and we wanted to say thank you to the people who do.

“If you donate on the day, you’ll receive a link that lets you cover your own pet with two months free, and every policy taken out that way sends another $100 to animals in RSPCA care,” said Mr Smith.

On Thursday 1 October, all donations will be doubled thanks to National Matching Partners including our friends at Royal Canin, Peter Alexander, Bravecto, and some exceptionally generous individuals.
