RSPCA ACT is at capacity and is calling on the Canberra community to help find homes for adult cats currently in care. RSPCA ACT is looking to find 25 adult cats a home before Christmas.

“This time of year people are more readily interested in kittens rather than cats. That means that adult cats can end up staying at the shelter much longer than other times of the year and as a result we are at capacity,” RSPCA ACT CEO Tammy Ven Dange said.

From now until Christmas Eve RSPCA ACT has reduced the adoption fee to $99 with the aim to find forever homes for 25 adult cats currently available for adoption at the Weston Shelter.

Tammy followed on, “Leading up to Christmas can be the perfect time to adopt a new adult cat into your family as many people are home for the holidays. We have a huge array of adult cats with wonderful personalities wanting to be with a family this Christmas.”

All animals available for adoption are microchipped, desexed and have their current vaccinations.

RSPCA ACT is open 7 days up until Christmas from 9am until 5pm.
